Difference between gate valve in the power plant and other valves

      Compared with other  valves, the gate valve of power plant is characterized with high temperature and  high pressure. high Pressure of gate valve is lower than that of general valves and  temperature of gate valve is also lower than that of general gate valve & globe valve . Due to its  special technical performance and special working conditions, it has the  characteristics that no other product possesses.

Advantage：

1.  Less fluid resistance, where its resistance coefficient is equal to that of a  pipe segment of the same length.

2. Simple structure,  small size, light weight

3. Compact and  reliable: now the sealing surface of gate valve is mostly the plastic material  of high leakproofness, and this material has been extensively used in vacuum  systems.

4.  Easy operation and quick opening/closing: the change from full opening to full  closing is only a 90° rotation, which is easy for remote  control.

5. Easy maintenance:  gate valve is of simple structure and the sealing ring is usually movable, which  makes it easy for removal and replacement.

6.  When fully opened or fully closed, the sealing surfaces of valve ball and valve  seat are isolated from the medium, so the sealing surface of valve is free from  corrosion when the medium flows through.

7. Wide range of  application: the diameter can be in millimeters or meters and it can be used in  high-vacuum and high-pressure environment.
